Off Campus Visits

Discovery Academy

Join us and inspire some young minds!

If you weren’t aware, Engineering Ambassadors has been visiting Discovery Academy to help their 2nd graders work on science projects! We have been able to inspire and challenge them as they explore the scientific method in designing their projects. They have asked us to come and help them out again this Friday (3/7) from 12:15 to 3:30pm!! If you’re interested in volunteering email Ryan Carmellini! We also offer reimbursements to those who volunteer to drive their (or a friend’s) car. GET EXCITED!

Mall Madness- Girl Scout Volunteer Event

Howdy!

EA is looking for female members (will not turn down any guys though) for a huge career event hosted by the Girls Scouts of Connecticut. EA will be setting up a table about Women in Engineering at this “Mall Madness” event and we are going to do a few demos with the girl scouts.

It is March 8th, 2014 (Saturday) from 10 am – 4 pm at

Enfield Square Mall, Enfield CT (about 40 mins away).

Depending on how many people volunteer, we’ll either do two 3 hour shifts or one 6 hour shift. Only 2-3 people are needed per shift.

Please email Kimberly.Sayre@uconn.edu if you are interested or if you have any questions.
