Rachel Scott is an undergraduate engineering student earning a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and German Studies. She got involved in Engineering Ambassadors her first semester at UConn. Rachel’s favorite event in EA is STEM Night. At STEM Night, middle school students from all over CT come to the Science Center in Hartford for an EA led event. Rachel has been on the STEM Night planning committee for two years. She has also has planned and/or volunteered for events such as Science Bowl, Engineers Week, and been a tour guide for 5 semesters at the School of Engineering Open House. As the current Vice President of Quality, Rachel plans to continue improving the content and delivery of the presentations we bring to schools. Her motivation for involvement in EA is inspiring a diverse community of young students to pursue engineering, and make the changes they want to see in the world.
