Lauren Knapp is currently an undergraduate student studying mechanical engineering. She joined UConn Engineering Ambassadors in Fall 2017 as a member of EA Presentation Team. Lauren has always been passionate about volunteering with young students and Presentation Team allows her to inspire the future generation to pursue careers in the STEM field. She is also a member of EA Tour Guides where she gives engineering tours to prospective students. Lauren volunteers for STEM Night where she runs demos for middle school students and the Northeast Regional Science Bowl, sponsored by EA, where she works in Command Central. She is employed at the Engineering Diversity & Outreach Center as Student Coordinator for the Bridge Mentor-Mentee Program and Bridge Tutoring. Lauren is currently Co-Vice President of External Affairs with Julia Roemer, where they are working to establish an Engineering Ambassadors Presentation Team at UConn Stamford Branch and University of Rhode Island. Additionally, they are planning events to involve the entire School of Engineering student body. Lauren is excited to take on this position and spread Engineering Ambassadors to other locations!
