Christopher Choi is an undergraduate third-year student pursuing degrees in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and History. He started as a member of Engineering Ambassadors (EA) in the autumn of his freshman year in 2016. Since then, he has been chosen to be part of the Presentation Team (PT), and held the position of co-Vice President of On-Campus Events from the fall of 2017, where he helped to organize visits for hundreds of primary and secondary school students coming to UConn by coordinating volunteer efforts and other related resources. After a year in this role, he was selected as one of the two co-Presidents of Engineering Ambassadors for the 2018-2019 academic year,. His responsibilities in this role include management of the volunteers within EA and the leadership team; this encompasses helping the aforementioned leadership resolve any problems that they have with their work as well as providing them with any support they need to carry out their jobs. Other responsibilities include representing Engineering Ambassadors to various professionals and companies to help gain support for the organization as a whole and leading planning efforts for the larger-scale events that EA puts on (STEM Night, Northeast Science Bowl, etc.) Christopher is excited for all to see what this group of Engineering Ambassadors is capable of accomplishing and is eager to be a part of Engineering Ambassadors leadership for another great year.
